In this research, the concept of digital nudging (digital decision design) is tested as tool to overcome resistance towards innovative products on an individual’s cognitive level by de-biasing innovation trial decision-making. We test the effect of two nudging mechanisms on innovation choice behavior: setting the innovation as default and priming the consumer towards the benefits of the innovation.
